Change

The government are planning to modernise the home buying process by creating a paperless electronic conveyancing system to exchange contracts and complete the purchase online, and by introducing compulsory Home Information Packs (HIPS) by 2007. A HIP will contain a home condition report, a local authority search and a draft contract put together by the you the seller before the property can be placed on the market.
